Know Thyself
The Key to Success and Happiness
Hello everyone.
Today, I want to talk about something that we often overlook in the pursuit of success and happiness.
We read books, follow experts, chase goals, but how often do we stop and ask ourselves — do I truly know who I am?
I believe that knowing yourself is the foundation for a fulfilling life.
If you understand your strengths, your interests, and what gives you joy, you can make better decisions in every aspect of life.
Whether it is your career, your investments, or your relationships, self-awareness helps you play the game in a way that suits you best.
Now let me share what I have learned about myself, and through that, maybe you will find something that helps you reflect on your own life.
First, I am a rational decision-maker.
I like logic, I like data, and I prefer structured thinking.
This is why my investment approach is rule-based.
I don’t rely on gut feelings or market noise.
Instead, I follow a system that makes decisions easier and keeps emotions in check.
Second, I am an independent thinker.
I do not believe in blindly following the crowd.
Whether it is investing or any other aspect of life, I like to question assumptions and find my own way.
This mindset has helped me navigate markets, career choices, and even personal decisions.
Third, I am a continuous learner.
I enjoy learning new things, refining my approach, and making improvements.
Whether it is data engineering, investing, or automation, I keep looking for ways to get better.
Fourth, I am a teacher and storyteller.
I love simplifying complex topics and explaining them in a way that makes sense to people.
Whether I am writing about investing, data, or AI, I always focus on making it easy to understand.
Fifth, I value balance.
I do not believe in rushing into things or making impulsive decisions.
Whether it is my work, my investments, or my personal life, I take a step back, think logically, and then act.
And finally, I am an artist at heart.
Numbers and logic excite me, but I also have a creative side.
I enjoy expressing my thoughts, whether through writing, speaking, or storytelling.
Now, what does this mean for a fulfilling life?
First, I should speak and share more.
Since I enjoy explaining things, I should take every opportunity to do so. Maybe through blogs, talks, videos, or courses.
Second, I should create a structured system to share my quantvesting approach.
It has worked well for me, and if I can simplify it for others, it could be valuable.
Third, I should go deeper into data-driven investing.
I already have an edge, but there is so much more to explore, especially with quantitative models and machine learning.
Fourth, I should integrate art with logic.
Whether through storytelling in investing or making complex ideas simple, I should use my creative side more.
Fifth, I should establish myself as a thought leader in data and AI.
Since I enjoy learning and teaching, this could be a great way to combine both.
And most importantly, while investing is my core strength, I should consider applying your skills to new domains.
Whether it’s building a data-driven business, consulting, or mentoring others in data, tech and investing.
This was about me.
So, if you are wondering how to make your own life more fulfilling, start by asking yourself:
Who am I really? What excites me? What gives me energy? What drains me?
The more you understand yourself, the easier it becomes to make decisions that align with who you truly are.
Success and happiness are not about chasing what the world says is right.
It is about knowing yourself and designing your life accordingly.
Thank you.
